Whatcom County Superior Court set bail at $100,000 for David Henry Jackson Jr. following an October 22 robbery and car theft on Aldrich Road. The 57-year-old Everson resident faces charges of first-degree robbery, second-degree assault, and theft of a motor vehicle. Prosecutors initially requested $150,000, but the judge lowered the amount while allowing a $10,000 cash alternative.

WCSO deputies arrested Jackson and his wife, Blanca Estella Jackson, 58, on October 25 at their residence on Hertel Way. The arrests stemmed from an investigation into an incident in the 4900 block of Aldrich Road. During that event, a victim was assaulted and his vehicle was taken after agreeing to a test drive arranged via an online classified advertisement.

In a separate hearing on October 26, the court found probable cause to detain Blanca Jackson. She was informed of the charges and determined not to qualify for court-appointed counsel. The judge issued a no-contact order regarding the victim and ordered her to surrender all firearms, other weapons, and concealed pistol licenses to the sheriff’s office immediately.

The court also prohibited David Jackson from possessing weapons and issued a no-contact order for him. A compliance review hearing for Blanca Jackson is scheduled for November 19. Court filings show a $10,000 bail deposit was recorded for her on October 26.

On October 27, a notice of release was filed for David Jackson. He was freed after his wife posted the $10,000 cash bail amount permitted by the court.
