Perseus Documentary Airs November 30, Access Limited To Passport Subscribers
The film about the Perseid meteor shower streams to public media donors as part of an extended library of programming.

Public media distributor Cascade PBS scheduled a documentary titled Perseus for November 30, with viewing access routed through its Passport subscriber benefit. The title belongs to an extended library that the network describes as containing dramas, arts performances, documentaries and news programming. Access requires a donation to local public media, which activates Passport as a member benefit.
The announcement concerns a celestial object rather than a spacecraft. Perseus names a constellation, and the documentary sits alongside a large catalogue of astronomy programming already carried by the network. The listing includes Star Gazers, a five-minute series hosted by Trace Dominguez, which has produced episodes covering lunar phases, planetary alignment, meteor showers and telescope technology. Episode titles in the archive run from 2014 through later years, with entries such as "See a Moon-Star-Planet Sandwich" and "The Dragon And The Scorpion."
Dominguez's episodes address specific observing tasks. One offers five tips for people beginning to stargaze. Another explains the science behind shooting stars, noting that what observers call a shooting star is not a star. Other episodes in the series cover the Andromeda galaxy, the five types of nebulae, the engineering behind NASA's largest telescope, the aurora borealis, constellations, Halley's Comet, and whether Pluto qualifies as a planet. The series also produced segments on the July 20, 1969 moon landing, the scheduled 2030 deorbiting of the International Space Station, NASA's Juno mission at Jupiter, and solar activity relevant to sky watchers.
Cascade PBS positions Passport as a membership incentive tied to financial support of local public media stations. The network's description of the library lists dramas, arts performances, documentaries and news as available categories. Episodes of Star Gazers appear in the catalogue alongside the Perseus documentary, and the Star Gazers host appears in segments discussing the moonless sky, the moon's weather, and the movement of planets across the sky.
The documentary is dated for November 30. No release time, episode length or platform-specific instructions accompany the date in the listing. The Perseus title does not appear among the Star Gazers episode records, which carry their own numbering and dates, including Star Gazers #1524 dated June 15 to 21, 2015 and Star Gazers 5 Minute #1439M dated September 29 to October 5, 2014.
Donations that fund local public media stations unlock the extended library. The network links the donation request directly to the member benefit rather than to a separate subscription fee. Passport carries the Perseus documentary, arts performances, dramas and news programming under that arrangement.
