Federal Way Police Department officers arrived at a home in the 2900 block of Southwest 342nd Place shortly after 8:20 a.m. They responded to a dispatch regarding a domestic violence incident. Upon arrival, emergency responders and police officers joined forces to attempt life-saving measures for the victim. Despite their efforts, medical personnel pronounced the woman dead at the scene.
Detectives have classified the death as a homicide. The investigation centers on a person of interest, whose identity and description have not yet been released to the public. The specific circumstances surrounding the fatal head trauma, including the weapon used, remain under review and have not been detailed by authorities.
The victim's identity is being held back by investigators pending the notification of her next of kin. This procedural step delays the public release of her name while family members are contacted.
