A Dense Fog Advisory remained in effect through 10 a.m. Sunday for valley areas, mirroring conditions observed the previous morning. Drivers on early routes were advised to reduce speed and allow additional travel time due to reduced visibility.
The foggy start coincided with the conclusion of Daylight Saving Time, shifting sunrise to 6:50 a.m. Following the fog's dissipation, the region experienced mostly sunny skies. Morning temperatures started in the upper 30s to lower 40s before rising to the mid 50s in the afternoon.
Weather patterns indicate a dry and mild period for the first half of the month. An upper-level ridge is positioned to persist through at least Wednesday. Forecasters expect a mix of sun and clouds with highs ranging from the upper 50s to approximately 60 degrees during this window.
The ridge begins to weaken by midweek. Showers are predicted to return Wednesday night through Thursday morning, with a second chance for precipitation on Friday morning. Temperatures are projected to stabilize in the upper 50s through the end of the week and into the following weekend.
The forecast relies on the stability of the upper-level ridge. Any deviation in this system could alter the timing of the return showers. Current models show no immediate changes to the mild temperature trend before the weekend.
