A 65-year-old man was found dead on Disneyland property in Anaheim, California, over the weekend. Anaheim Police Department Sgt. Eric Anderson confirmed the incident on Monday, noting that the discovery occurred near the resort's south entrance.

Officers arrived at the scene shortly before 1:45 p.m. on Sunday after receiving a report of an unconscious individual. The man was located on a sidewalk situated between the resort hotels and a park entrance. Medical personnel pronounced him dead at the location.

Anderson stated that police found no evidence of trauma or foul play. The death appeared to be the result of natural causes. While the man's identity has not been released, Anderson indicated that the coroner's office would likely handle the identification process.

The specific sidewalk where the body was found is on Disneyland property, not public land. This south entrance is distinct from the main park gate and was established to provide easier access for guests staying at nearby hotels.

The man had prior contact with the department's homeless liaison officers. Anderson explained that these interactions were part of a regular outreach program to check on well-being and offer assistance. The previous encounters were not related to arrests or criminal activity.

A beer can was discovered near the body, though investigators have not determined if it was connected to his condition. Police tape and a black privacy screen cordoned off the area under a large entrance sign while authorities waited for the coroner's team to remove the body.

Disneyland Resort Media Relations confirmed the police response but referred further questions to the Anaheim Police Department.
