Pregnant Woman Named as Victim in Fatal Shooting at Fairfield Halloween Store

Police in Fairfield have named the woman who died in a shooting at a Spirit Halloween store inside a local mall. She was Constance Hages, 31.

The Fairfield Police Department released her name in a social media press release shortly before 1 p.m. on Saturday. Her family told investigators she was pregnant, though police noted that the Solano County coroner will need to confirm this.

The attack happened at about 8:30 p.m. on Friday at the Solano Town Center, which sits on Travis Boulevard. In addition to Hages, six other people were hurt. Police said all six are men, ranging in age from 16 to 43.

Three of the wounded remain in critical condition, according to police. They are aged 16, 19 and 32. A 23-year-old man is still in the hospital but is listed in stable condition. Two more victims, aged 19 and 43, received treatment for gunshot wounds and have been released.

No suspect has been publicly identified. On Friday evening, police said they believed the incident was targeted. They described it as a "targeted incident involving one suspect inside the Spirit Halloween store."

Detectives are still working the case. "Detectives continue to actively investigate this case, reviewing video footage and other evidence to identify the individual responsible for this heinous act of violence," Fairfield police said in a statement. The department added that it is not releasing further details about the incident at this time.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact the Fairfield Police Department. The details in this report came from the department.
